Description
Little Hurst and the attached coach house is a single house with outbuildings located on the west side, built around 1830. The building features stone walls that are stuccoed and has a low hipped slate roof with a short ridge. There are two rendered stacks positioned at the side walls and eaves. The house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical facade with three windows, which are tripartite sashes with glazing bars made of crown glass. The front door is centrally located, made of wood with six panels that are both flush and fielded, and it is framed by a wooden pilaster doorcase topped with an unorthodox dentil-type cornice.
The coach house and stable are attached on the west side, constructed with washed rubble walls and topped with a slate roof featuring gable ends. Inside, there is a surviving wooden and cast iron stall from the 19th century.
The front area of the house is enclosed by cast iron railings with arrow-heads and a central gate, which has poppy heads at the main divisions.
