Description

The former stable block, located 15 metres north of Lower Farmhouse, is a detached structure dating from the mid-19th century. It features squared and coursed limestone walls and a slate roof with coped verges. The building is two storeys high and has six windows, which are two-light casements and shuttered openings, all topped with segmental heads. There are three plank doors on the ground floor, framed in timber and also with segmental heads. Additionally, there are two loft doors, which are plank doors with segmental heads. This stable block is an intact example of farm stabling and has a close relationship with the farmhouse.
