Description

Castle Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage with a 20th-century extension, located on Castle Lane in Okeford Fitzpaine. The original cottage is built of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with some slight timber framing visible in the right-hand gable. It has a thatched, gable-ended roof and brick end stacks. The cottage is two storeys high with an original two-window front. It features 2- and 3-light casement windows, most with full glazing bars. A gabled porch is present, and a 20th-century outshut extends from the left side.
