Description
Bute House is an early to mid-19th century building on Long Street. It is two storeys high with three window bays. The upper portion of the facade is stuccoed, with pebbledash extending to the level of the high plinth. Sash windows with glazing bars are present throughout. A stone doorway features tapered Doric pilasters and an entablature, above which is a rectangular fanlight. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles. The property is bounded to the west by railings and a gate, while a wall and gateways mark the boundary to the east. It forms a group with Brewery Cottage, the premises occupied by the Slessor Club, Brecon House and a dwarf wall, along with the railings and gates to Brecon House.
