Description
The barn and cowhouse south of Kimmeridge Farm, likely built in the 18th century, features stone walls and stone slate roofs. The barn is a single-storey structure, while the cowhouse has two storeys. Due to the sharp drop in the ground to the south, the first floor of the cowhouse is at ground level on the north side. This north elevation includes a row of pent-roofed dormers that provide access to the hay loft. On the south side, there are stable doors and unglazed windows at the lower level. The barn is positioned at right angles to the cowhouse and has three large openings separated by stone piers, which are spanned by timber lintels, although one has been replaced by a steel joist. This building forms a good group with its surroundings.
