Description
Nos 9 and 10 Bladen Valley are a pair of cottages built around 1920. They are similar in style to Nos 15 and 16 Briantspuddle. The cottages feature concrete block walls, some of which are colourwashed, and have thatched roofs with brick stacks that include ornamental details. The buildings are part two-storey and part one-storey with attics. Each cottage has a lean-to extension at the front, with the thatch extending over this area. There are recessed porches in the lean-tos, each with ledged doors. On the ground floor, each cottage has three casement windows with glazing bars, while the first floors each have one similar window. Each lean-to also includes one similar dormer in the roof.
