Description

Nos 17 and 18 in Bladen Valley are a pair of cottages built around 1920. They feature concrete block walls and thatched roofs, with brick stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and have slightly projecting wings at each end. The thatch extends over open porches, with the porch of No. 17 enclosed with glazing. No. 17 also has a lean-to extension on the north side, which has rendered walls and a tiled roof, along with part-glazed doors. Each cottage includes two casement windows with glazing bars on both the ground and first floors.
