    1. Part of a planned group called "Portville", developed by Samuel Gundry junior, one of the twine manufacturing dynasty. Stucco. Low pitched slate roof, with wide eaves on cut brackets. 2 storeys. Angle pilasters with incised line decoration. 2 sashes with glazing bars on 1st floor. 2 French casements with marginal glazing bars and oblong fanlights on ground floor. 6 bay cast iron verandah with vine leaf trellis work. Entrance wing with contemporary 2-panelled door.
