Description

This is a two-story, three-window building, constructed around the late 18th or early 19th century, and situated on the east side of Westbury. It adjoins number 251. The front of the building is rendered in stucco. It has a slate roof and sash windows with intact glazing bars on the first floor. On the ground floor, a later inserted shop front is visible, alongside a half-glazed shop door coupled with a house door consisting of four flush panels and a three-light rectangular fanlight above. A fascia is present over the main entrance, flanked by console brackets. A sash window with four panes is situated at the right-hand end of the ground floor. The building is part of a group which includes numbers 251 to 255, the Sherborne Do-it-Yourself Centre, the Wessex Club, Digby Estate No 247, the Sherborne Gallery, Westbury Studio, Dolphin House, Estcourt and Brookfield.
