Description
Numbers 1 and 2 Church View Cottages are a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century. They feature rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof with gable ends, as well as lower hips over outhouses at each end. The cottages have 18th-century brick stacks at the gable ends and are 1½ storeys tall. The front facade includes three windows, which have been replaced in the 20th century with a metal casement window in the center. There are eyebrow dormers with two 3-light metal casements that include glazing bars. The front doors, located to the left and right of the center, are made of planks and have stone voussoirs above them. Each outhouse has a plank door with stone voussoirs and projecting keystones.
