Description

Slepe Cottage is a detached house, formerly two cottages, situated on the north side of Dorchester Road in Lytchett Minster. It likely dates from the late 18th century. The construction utilises plastered cob walls and a thatched roof, with brick stacks positioned along the ridge. The house is two storeys high. The front elevation features two ledged doors. On the ground floor are two casement windows and two vertically sliding windows, all with glazing bars. The first floor has two horizontally sliding sash windows and two double-hung sash windows, featuring central glazing bars. A two-storey brick addition is present at the east end, also with a thatched roof. A rear lean-to addition extends under a thatched catslide roof.
