Description

LYTCHETT MINSTER DORCHESTER ROAD SY 99 SW NORTH SIDE 3/75 Newton Farm House, including brick boundary wall to road - II Detached farmhouse. Early C19, extended to north later in C19. Earlier section has plastered walls, slate roof, brick stacks on ridge. In Victorian Tudor style. 2 storeys. Glazed door with fanlight under 4-centred arch, with hood mould. Ground floor has four 2-light 4-centred arched windows with glazing bars, under hoodmoulds. (one of these blocked). First floor has 5 similar windows. Northern extension, of brick, with slate roof. 2 storeys. Double-hung sash windows on both floors. Lean-to covered way at rear, with slate roof, on timber posts. Brick boundary wall to road, probably contemporary with house.
