Description
Midsummer Cottage is a detached cottage likely dating to the late 18th century. It has brick walls, a tiled roof, and a brick stack. Later brick extensions have been added at the rear. The cottage is two storeys high. The front elevation features a central ledged door, two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor, and three similar windows on the first floor. The main ground floor room contains a large open fireplace with a bread oven. The cottage is recorded in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments as Monument 27 in Dorset Volume II.
