Description

The stable-block and cart-shed located 20 metres east of Wraxall Manor is a long structure built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century. The building features coursed rubble-stone and brick walls topped with a half-hipped slate roof. A low clock-tower is positioned above the main carriage entrance. The stable-block is a single storey and has seven windows with irregular spacing, which are two-light casements that include glazing bars, dressed stone jambs, and segmental heads. The main carriage entrance is framed by dressed stone jambs and an elliptical arch. Additionally, there are two carriage entrances with elliptical arches at the north-east end. The long side of the building faces the road, and there is chalk-block walling at the north end, along with a train carriage entrance.
