Description
Ower Farm House is a farmhouse now divided into two occupations, consisting of two sections built at different times. The right section dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and has been altered. It features rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, with one brick stack in the center and another at the right end. This section is one storey high with an attic. The ground floor has three 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars, and the attic includes two 20th-century dormers with similar casements.
The left section is from the 19th century, although it may have earlier origins. It also has rubble stone walls, partly with ironstone banding, and a slate roof, with brick end stacks and one stack to the right of the door. The arrangement of the stacks suggests a three-room and cross-passage plan. This section is also one storey high with an attic. It features a ledged door in a gabled porch, three ground floor casements with glazing bars, and four half-dormers in the attic with similar casements. Additionally, there is a stone mullioned window in the left gable wall.
