Description
The observation post is a Grade II listed structure built into the hillside near the summit. Constructed of reinforced concrete and concrete blockwork, it has a rectangular plan measuring 2.2 meters by 2.4 meters and faces south. The front half of the building features a sloping roof, and there is a covered entrance on the north-west elevation. The angled front (south-west) elevation includes three horizontal embrasures or observation slots, which have concrete lintels and are positioned close to the current ground level. These slots were designed to be sealed with concrete blocks stored inside the building, one of which still has its iron handles.
