Description

The stables and tack room, built in 1869 by B.M. Compton, are located 35 metres north-north-west of the Rectory in Mapperton. The structure features coursed rubble stone walls and a slate roof, and is one storey high with a loft above. It has three windows, which are two-light casements from the 20th century. There is a wide segmental-arch entrance on the right side that provides access to the stable and tack room, along with a pitch door at the upper centre. Inside, there is a stone floor and drain, as well as one partition. This building is included for its group value.
