GV II

3 headstones. C17 and C18. Portland stone. 2 of the stones lie immediately W of the churchyard path, and one approx 3.5m to the E, on the other side of the path. The 2 stones to the W are: (i) To John Stoddard, d.1782. A large stone with shaped head above a bas-relief sunk panel with a putto holding a reversed torch, and leaning on a large urn, with drop drapes to either side; (ii) approx 1m N of the preceding, to .... Wood, no date legible, but probably early C18. The stone has a high scrolled head, with one scroll, to the right, broken off, above a high-relief panel with cherub heads and intertwined wings; (iii) On the opposite side of the path, a plain rectangular stone, but very thick, and with chamfered back edge. The inscription is partly legible, with the name Towill decipherable, and no date, but this is probably a C17 memorial.
