Description
This boundary stone, likely dating from around 1870, is a single block of Portland stone measuring approximately 350 millimeters square and 700 millimeters high, with a rounded top. It is inscribed on the south side with a War Department arrow, an anchor, and the number 74. This stone is one of several markers from the War Department or Admiralty located on the island. It is situated about 180 meters south of the bend at the eastern end of The Grove, positioned along a footpath that runs next to a boundary wall at the cliff edge.
