Description

The Elizabeth Horlock monument, located in the churchyard 6 metres north of the tower of the Church of St Mary, is a headstone dating from 1729. It features a stone pedimented top that includes a skull and crossbones. The inscription is flanked by fluted pilasters, which are topped with urns. Above the inscription, there are putti. This monument is noted as an unusual and richly designed example of headstone artistry.
