Description
The accommodation bridge over the Wiltshire, Somerset and Weymouth line at Yeovil Junction station is a former bridge, now disused, built in the 1850s for the Wiltshire, Somerset and Weymouth Railway, which is part of the Great Western Railway. It features a single segmental arched structure made of evenly coursed, roughly dressed stone. Above the arch, there is a projecting string course and a parapet with stone coping. The walls of the bridge slightly splay towards the ends at the upper track level. The surface of the bridge is covered with grass. This bridge is a finely built and well-preserved example of a mid-19th century stone arch bridge.
