Description

The road bridge over a tributary of the River Yeo was built around 1860. It features riveted and plated iron construction with concrete and stone abutments. The bridge has central columns on square stone bases set in the river, which flows through at an angle. A composite cross girder supports the main beams, forming two flat arches. The handrail consists of "T" section uprights with rods threaded through. This bridge is an unspoilt example of typical construction from its time and compares well with the nearby stone railway bridges.
