Description

Nos 547 and 548 on Caundle Street are cottages dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are built of rubble and feature a half-hipped and gabled thatched roof, with brick stacks at each end and partway along the ridge. The cottages are two storeys high and have a five-window range. The windows are primarily three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, although the ground floor includes one 20th-century three-light casement without glazing bars. The cottages also have concrete lintels and 20th-century thatched porches.
