Description
Nos 7 and 8 on Hunton Down Lane are cottages dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The buildings are constructed of brick that is partly pebbledashed, and they feature thatched roofs. The 18th-century cottage is attached to an early 19th-century cottage on the left, with a later 19th-century bay added to each end. The cottages are two storeys high and have a total of eight windows. The doors are located in the original outside bay of the cottages and are sheltered by 19th-century gabled latticed porches. The windows are casements with one, two, or three lights and have cambered heads. The roof is half-hipped at the left end, with a central ridge stack and gable end stacks. These cottages are included for their group value.
