Description
The White Hart Inn is a 17th-century inn with rendered and rubble walls. It features a tiled, gable-ended roof with stone slate verges and rendered end stacks. The building has two storeys and is arranged in a basic three-window range. Most of the windows are two-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. At the rear, there is a door made of planks hung on strap hinges from a heavy frame. Although the interior has been significantly altered, it retains some original features, including reset plank and muntin partitions with vertical reeding, deep stop-chamfered beams, and a moulded wooden cornice, which may date from the 18th century. The exterior includes various 20th-century extensions and lean-tos.
