Description

This is an early to mid-19th century building comprising two properties, Nos. 22 and 23 Broad Street. No. 22 is a three-storey building with an attic, featuring three window bays and a slate roof topped by a capped parapet. The front is rendered, and it has sash windows with three panes in the reveals. A balcony with French casements and margin lights, and a rectangular fanlight with margin lights, is present on the first floor. A plate glass shop front occupies the ground floor, and a house door with a deep rectangular fanlight is located to the left, while another house door is situated at the right-hand end. No. 23 is a three-storey building with two window bays, also featuring a slate roof and a moulded cornice and parapet. The front is rendered, with sash windows having four panes on the second floor. The first floor mirrors No. 22, with French casements, margin lights, and a rectangular fanlight above. Modern shop fronts are present on the ground floor, and a house door is at the left-hand end. These properties form a group with the Three Cups Hotel and Nos. 19 to 23 Broad Street.
