Description

This building, at 49 and 49A Broad Street, dates from the 19th century. It is a two-bay structure, with a parapet topped with coping stones. The roof is in two sections; the right-hand section is higher and covered in slate. The left-hand bay is two storeys high and features a splayed four-light bay window on the first floor and a shop front on the ground floor, incorporating a modern glazed shop door and a more recent house door to the right. The right-hand bay also rises two storeys and includes a two-light, two-tier window on both the first and second floors. The building is part of a group with numbers 45 to 65 on Broad Street.
