Description

The Three Cups Hotel is an early to mid-19th century building, likely constructed in the early to mid-1800s. It occupies a site that had previously been occupied by Hiscott's Boarding House, with the hotel relocating to this location after a fire in 1844. The building is three storeys high and features three bays. It has a moulded eaves cornice, and is constructed of coursed rubble with a slated roof. The corners are emphasised by rusticated quoins. The windows are sash windows with intact glazing bars. A columned porch is located at the right-hand end and supports a two-storey round bay, with pilasters placed between the windows and cornices above the windows. The left-hand return wall is clad in slate. The Three Cups Hotel is part of a group that includes numbers 19 to 23.
