Description

This is a row of six terraced houses, numbered 28 to 34, on the north-west side of Orchard Street, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses are built of stucco with slate roofs. They retain their original sash windows, all with intact glazing bars. Each house has a round-headed doorway, distinguished by its impost band and fanlight. Above the two central doorways, which are linked, is a blind window with a Venetian outline, and directly above that is a recessed panel with an elliptical top. The properties are depicted on the Tithe Map for 1B38. Numbers 24 to 56 (even), including this terrace, form a group.
