Description

This cottage, located approximately 50 meters north-east of Glebe Court, dates back to the 16th century but was refronted in 1866. It features banded flint and brick, along with rubble and brick walls, topped by a gable-ended slate roof with end brick stacks. The building has a gabled central bay and is two stories high with a four-window range, primarily consisting of two-light casements with glazing bars. The right window on the ground floor is set under a segmental brick head. Beneath the central gable, there are two small trefoiled lights. Below these, three carved stone panels display quatrefoils enclosing bosses, and similar quatrefoils are found below the first-floor central windows. There is a central inscribed panel, and the door features a three-centred head with a keystone and a plain wooden door. Inside, there is a fireplace with a moulded four-centred head and trefoil spandrels.
