Small commercial building, formerly auction rooms. Founded 1823, probably built at that time (RCHME). Rendered, roof not visible. 2 storeys, one bay width; a mid C19 canted oriel with plain sashes and panelled skirt is set at the bottom of a recessed panel with slender Doric pilasters in antis; the ground floor has a full-width C20 shop front. Above the oriel is a wide fielded panel, and there is a moulded cornice with blocking-course and coped parapet. At the time of the RCHME survey (1970) the building remained in its original use; at the time of survey it was not in use. INTERIOR not inspected. (RCHME: Dorset, South-East: London: 1970-: 353).
