Description
No. 6 North Square is an attached house dating from the early to mid-17th century. It features rubble-stone walls with dressed stone quoins and a clay-tiled roof with stone-coped gables that have kneelers. The end stacks are made of rubble-stone and have been rebuilt. The house has two storeys and two windows; the ground floor has three-light stone mullion windows that are hollow chamfered and have hoodmoulds above. The first floor has two-light windows, although the central mullion has been removed. The wooden casements are fitted with lead lights. The front door is centrally located and has a depressed four-centred head, featuring a 20th-century plank door with strap-hinges. Inside, there are two heated rooms, with the front doorway leading directly into the larger hall.
