Description

No. 20 Main Street is a house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with quoins and features a thatched roof with red brick ridge and front end stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a wing that projects forwards to the right. It is 1½ storeys high and has two eyebrow dormers on the left return of the wing and one on the front of the main range. All windows are 2-light casements. On the front, from left to right, there is a 2-light stone mullion window, a glazed door, a 3/3 sash window in the left wing return, a blocked door, and another 3/3 sash window on the wing front. The left end features a part-glazed door and a 4/4 sash window. The building has wooden lintels.
