Description

The Limes is a cottage dating from the 18th century, constructed from coursed rubble stone with a pantile roof and red brick end stacks. It has two storeys and a basement, featuring three windows on the front. From the left, there is a three-light casement window with a two-light window above it, a part-glazed door accessed by four stone steps with a three-over-three sash window above, and a basement window that is a one-light with a two-light window and top lights above, along with a two-light window above that. To the left, there is a lower two-storey extension that includes a two-over-two sash window and a two-light casement window above. Inside, there is an inglenook, which may have been restored, featuring a reused beam and a chamfered ceiling beam with a double curved stop. The building is included for its group value.
