Description

The yard wall and piers to the stable block of Upwey House date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. This wall, constructed from rubble with some dressed stone detailing, stands approximately 2.1 meters high and is symmetrically positioned in front of the stable block. It features square piers topped with dressed stone cappings and ball finials, creating a wide opening opposite the main doors. The corners of the yard are rounded, and there is a small door opening located immediately next to the southeast corner of the stables.
