Description

Numbers 1 and 2 Cruxton Cottages are an early 19th-century pair of cottages located near Cruxton Farm. They are constructed of flint and stone walls with banding, and feature brick dressings. The ground floor windows have segmental brick arches. The roofs are thatched with gable ends, and there are brick stacks at each gable. The cottages are two storeys high with a three-window front. The upper-left window is a two-light cast-iron casement with small glazing-bars. The other windows are mainly 20th-century wooden casements. The doors, positioned left and right of centre, are 20th-century, flush-panelled with a single large glass light, and are set within 20th-century porches. The 20th-century extensions at each end of the cottages do not hold particular architectural interest.
