Main Barn At Blashenwell Farm, 25 Metres West Of Blashenwell Farm House

The main barn at Blashenwell Farm, dated "GP 1760" on its east wall, is located 25 meters west of Blashenwell Farm House. The barn features rubble stone walls and a hipped stone slate roof. On the east wall, facing the farmyard, there is a lean-to cart entrance at the left end, followed by another lean-to with a corrugated sheet roof. To the right, there is a flush door and a ledged high-level door, along with three blocked window openings that have segmental arches. The north end wall has a large opening with double doors.

On the west wall, there is a lean-to at the left end under a slate catslide roof, followed by a shallower brick lean-to. Adjoining this is a large cast iron waterwheel set in a brick pit, along with the remains of a leat. There are also remnants of walls leading to a high-level pond south of the barn. To the right of the wheel is a hipped cart porch, and next to this is a 20th-century concrete lean-to.

Internally, the north section of the barn consists of four bays with a tie-beam roof, while the center section has five bays with a collar beam roof. There is an overhead drive shaft and some remnants of gearing from the waterwheel, which was used to power farm machinery.
