Description

CORFE CASTLE BLASHENWELL SY 98 SE 3/9 Former dairy house and dairy, - immediately south-west of Blashenwell Farm House GV II House, former dairy house and dairy. Probably early C19. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roof. One brick stack at left end, one near right end. 2 storeys. Single-storey slate-roofed lean-to at front, containing porch. Single-storey rear lean-to under catslide roof. On front elevation, left of porch, ground floor has one easement with cast iron lattice glazing and 2 C20 casements - one timber, one metal. First floor has 2 casements with cast iron lattice glazing. Right of porch, ground floor has a ledged door, with loft door over, and one casement with cast iron lattice glazing - one similar casement on first floor. At right end, a lower attached building, in matching construction, with double doors, links the Dairy House to the main barn (Item 3/10) q.v.
