Description
The garden wall adjoining The Cedars on the west side is a high stone structure with moulded stone coping, likely built in the 19th century. The wall extends westward and then continues at a lower level to the garden entrance, which is flanked by an ashlar gate pier topped with moulded capping. A short section of wall extends from the entrance to Lavender Cottage. This wall is part of a group that includes The Red House, Grey Lodge, forecourt walls and railings to The Red House, Donore, wall railings and gate to Donore, Eastbury House (including the carriage entrance to the east and garden wall to the west), Elizabeth House, Bracondale, The Cedars, East Cedars, Corby House, Hill View Lodge, Masongill, Glenville, and Long Street Post Office.
