Description

SW 52 NE GERMOE CHURCHTOWN, Germoe 6/214 Tyacke chest tomb at approx. 10 metres north east of Church of Saint Germoe GV II

Chest tomb. 1719. Granite ashlar with inscribed slate insert to lid. Rectangular on plan with plinth projecting at the front (south) and square edged lid projecting at the front, the lid border fastened with iron staples. Incised inscription to : Samuel Tyacke, died 12th February 1719 in the 12th year of his age.
