Description
This chest tomb, located 3 meters north of the Church of Gwenapp, dates from the late 18th century and was remodeled in the early 19th century. It is made of dressed granite and has a rectangular shape oriented from north to south. The tomb features a plinth with torus and cavetto moulding beneath a sloping lid, which has a raised panel on each side. The north side panel displays raised lettering that reads "TABB, 1832." The 18th-century lid is adorned with an ovolo cornice and includes an incised inscription that commemorates William Tabb (1777-1832), Henry Tabb (1815-1836), and Mary Tabb (1779-1837).
