Description

Harbour Cottage, built around the early 19th century, is located on the south side of the harbour. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a scantle slate roof. The cottage is a single storey. On the east side, there are two 12-pane horizontal sliding sash windows, with six panes in each sash, flanking a central doorway that is accessed by six stone steps. The north gable end, which faces the harbour, has a centrally placed timber sash window with six panes per sash and a very small opening below it. A square brick chimney is situated on the south gable end. The cottage is built on a sloping site, with the south gable and part of the west elevation integrated into the surrounding rock. It is noted for its group value with the harbour.
