Description
Nos. 4, 5, and 6 on Cathedral Lane in Truro are mid-19th century town houses that have been converted into shops. The ground floor features brickwork on the High Cross front, while the upper floors are clad in slate hanging on studwork, with No. 4 on the left having grouted scantle slate. The roof is hipped and covered with asbestos slate. The building is three storeys tall, with a five-window front facing Cathedral Lane and a three-window return into High Cross. The original mid-19th century windows are hornless 12-pane sashes with moulded architraves. The early 20th-century shop fronts include pilasters, pairs of consoles, and a moulded entablature for the fascia. The interiors of the shops have been altered in the 20th century and were not inspected.
