Description
No. 22 and 24 are a pair of small suburban houses located on St Thomas Road in Launceston, dating from the early to mid-19th century. They are built of stucco and feature eared architraves, with a rag slate roof and a rendered stack on the left. The houses have a shallow double-depth plan, standing two storeys over a basement, and present a four-window range. The original windows are 16-pane hornless sashes, with blind windows above the doorways to the right of the fronts. No. 24 has a mid-20th century top-glazed panelled door, while No. 22 retains an original six-panel door, with the top four panels later glazed. There is also a basement doorway to the far left. The houses are complemented by simple wrought-iron railings that run parallel to the front and return to the left of the doorway of No. 22, with steps leading up from the left. The interiors have not been inspected.
