Description
14 and 16 St Thomas Street are two small town houses built in the early to mid-19th century. The front features incised stucco, while the left-hand end has slate hanging. No. 16 has a rag slate roof, and No. 14 has an asbestos slate roof. There is a rendered lateral stack at the rear of No. 16 and an end stack on the right. The houses have a double-depth plan under two parallel roofs, with a small lean-to at the rear left. They are two storeys tall and have a total of five windows across the front. No. 16 has a symmetrical three-window front with original 12-pane hornless sash windows, a pair of two-panel doors, and a fretted wooden porch featuring a four-centred arched doorway. No. 14 has late 19th-century four-pane horned sash windows and a 20th-century panelled door. There are blind windows above the doorways. The interior has not been inspected.
