Description

This is a headstone from 1785, located 7.5 metres south of the south aisle of Egloshayle Church. It commemorates George Scantlebury of Mountcharls, who died in 1785, along with his daughter Tamson, who also passed away in the same year. The headstone is made of large slate and features rectangular shape with inscriptions in both upper and lower case lettering that includes serifs, as well as a verse.
