Description

ST BURYAN BOSKENNA SW 42 SW 8/82 Boskenna Farmhouse including rear - garden walls and adjoining cartshed GV II Farmhouse. Circa early C19. Roughly coursed granite rubble with granite dressings. Concrete tile half-hipped roof with brick chimneys over the side walls. Grouted scantle slate roofs over washhouse and cartshed. Tall brick chimney over rear gable end of washhouse. Plan: Double depth plan. Probably 2 rooms on the front with axial passage behind the left-hand room and probably 2 service rooms flanking a stair hall at the rear. Built at right angles behind the left-hand side is a single-storey washhouse. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window east-south-east front without a doorway. Original 16-pane horned sashes. Rear also has original sashes. There is a porch in the angle between the house and the washhouse. Rounded garden wall adjoining rear gable end of wash house has a doorway approximately midway between the washhouse and a cartshed on its left. The cartshed has a wide doorway into its west gable end, on the left. Interiors not inspected.
