ST EVAL SW 86 NE 6/196 Gobeldick chest tomb about 8 metres south-east of Church of St Uvelus

GV II

Chest tomb. Mid C18. Low dressed stone chest concealed by turf. Slate lid with grooved border and at the centre a winged angel head flanked by an hour glass and skull and crossed bones. Inscription in upper and lower case with serifs to the memory of Nancy, died 1768, daughter of William and Jane Gobeldick; with verse below.
