Description

This milestone, located 350 meters to the west of Hessenford, is likely from the late 18th century. It is a rectangular post made of painted granite with a rounded top. The upper case lettering is painted black, and it is inscribed with the word 'TORPOINT' and the number 'II'. Only the letters 'T0RP' and the number 'II' are incised into the stone.
