Description

The bridge over the River Seaton is a road bridge located in St Martin, part of Hessenford, and is likely from the early to mid-19th century, with later widening in the 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features granite coping on the stone rubble parapets. The bridge has three segmental dressed stone arches, with a keystone on the south side and two stone rubble cutwaters on the north side. Elderly residents recall barges passing through the arches, although the riverbed is now silted.
